110743 Hirobumi           Discovered 2001 Oct. 18 by A. Nakamura at Kuma Kogen.
Hirobumi Ito (1841-1909), born in Yamaguchi prefecture, greatly contributed to the modernization of the Japanese political system. He studied politics in Europe and the U.S. and established a cabinet system of government. He became the first prime minister of Japan in 1885.
